Menopause and exercise is one of the most frequently asked questions among women. We encourage exercise in all circumstances, but of course not in every way. Before moving on to the exercise part, we will briefly talk about menopause. Menopause: It is a PHYSIOLOGICAL process in which the ovulation process is completed and fertility ends with the decrease in ovarian function during sexual maturity in women. The symptoms of menopause are well known: hot flushes, sweating, insomnia, palpitations, headaches, panic attacks, osteporosis, changes in body composition, genitourinary problems. It can be very difficult not to gain weight with so many problems. Let’s leave the food part of the job to dieticians, but exercise is the backbone of this job. In menopausal women, the cross-section of the muscle decreases. Well-prepared exercise programmes are needed to prevent this and control the symptoms. Consult your physiotherapist to correct postural posture, reduce labour loss and relieve pain.
